On Monday, January 6 at 3:43 p.m. ET, Falcon 9 launched 24 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit to add to the constellation, from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Photos provided by Satnews.
There are currently more than 6,850 active Starlink spacecraft, according to satellite tracker and astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell.
Approximately eight minutes after liftoff the Falcon 9 touched down on the SpaceX droneship, “Just Read the Instructions”, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
This was the 17th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission that previously launched Crew-5, CRS-28, Intelsat G-37, Optus-X, Immarsat I6-F2, GPS III-6, NG-20, and now 10 Starlink missions.

Space X plans a launch on Monday, January 6, at 9:21 am – 1:15 pm PST of Starlink Group 6-71 smallsats from Cape Canaveral SFS, Florida.
At a cost of $69.75 dollars SpaceX will launch of a batch of Starlink v2-mini satellites for their second generation high-speed low Earth orbit internet satellite constellation.
The weather forecast calls for a temperature of 68°F, broken clouds, 71% cloud cover and a wind speed of 20mph.
This is the 17th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-5, CRS-28, Intelsat G-37, Optus-X, Immarsat I6-F2, GPS III-6, NG-20, and nine Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
