Many in the western US will be able to see a partial eclipse of the sun on Oct. 14, which runs from Oregon to Texas before moving on to Central and South America.
Astronomer and skywatcher Joe Rao joins us to discuss Oct. 14 annular eclipse, when most of the sun will be blocked with just a “ring of fire” visible around the margins, and 2024 total solar eclipse — the event of a lifetime. View both, and do it safely–we’ll tell you how.
