HOUSTON (NASA PR) — Social media users are invited to register to take part in another global virtual NASA Social for the next SpaceX delivery of NASA science investigations, supplies, and equipment to the International Space Station. SpaceX’s 25th Commercial Resupply Services mission is targeted to launch on Friday, June 10 at 10:22 a.m. EDT on a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft will deliver new science investigations, supplies, and equipment for the international crew, including a image spectrometer to be mounted on the exterior of the station to better understand how dust plumes affect our climate and a study of immune aging and potential for reversing those effects. It also will carry an investigation from a team of students at Stanford University that will test the process of creating biopolymer soil composite, a concrete alternative, in microgravity.
If your passion is to communicate and engage the world via social media, then this is the event for you! Seize the opportunity to blog, tweet, Instagram, or simply share everything about the CRS-25 mission.
NASA Social participants will have the opportunity to:
- Connect virtually with a community of people excited about the next cargo resupply mission
- Obtain your own NASA Social badge to share
- Learn more about the mission and the science headed up to the orbiting lab
